Area Social Districts
We welcome you to join us in the Saugatuck, Douglas, and Fennville social districts as you stroll through these charming downtown areas while waiting for a table. This program allows visitors to purchase alcoholic beverages from participating bars and restaurants and then enjoy them throughout each district's common areas.
Visitors are welcome to consume within the boundaries of each social district during the designated program days and times noted below. Beverages may only be enjoyed from designated containers that feature each social district’s logo.
Saugatuck’s social district begins on September 6, 2021 and will be in effect until May 24, 2022. The following venues are currently participating: GROW Café + Bistro, The Trap, The Butler Restaurant, The BARge, El Burrito Feliz, Pumpernickels, New Holland Spirits Tasting Room, Butter & Whiskey and Coppercraft Distillery Tasting Room. Other venues will be added as they receive their licenses from the state. Look for the City of Saugatuck Social District decal on retail store windows to indicate the stores that will welcome you to enter with your beverage.
Beginning May 28, 2021, the Douglas social district hours are from 11 am to 11 pm daily. The common area runs along Center Street from Blue Star Highway to Wade's Bayou.
Currently, there are two participating venues: Borrowed Time and Everyday People Café, with other venues pending as they wait to receive their licenses from the state. Any participating retail store displaying a Douglas social district decal will welcome visitors to enter with their beverages.
Beginning August 5, 2021, the Fennville social district will be open from 12 pm to 9 pm each Thursday, Friday, and Saturday through October 30. The common area encompasses the parking lot and green space between Main and Fennville streets west and east of Maple Street. Currently, there are two participating venues: Salt of the Earth and Root Café, with other venues pending as they wait to receive their licenses from the state.
