Ox-Bow House hosts Art Collecting 101: A conversation between Evan Boris and Shannon
Stratton. EVAN BORIS is a Partner and Co-Founder at Monique Meloche Gallery, Chicago, and an
active supporter of contemporary art. He is currently on the board of Ox-Bow and is a
long-standing member of the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, the Art Institute of
Chicago, the Society for Contemporary Art and the Studio Museum in Harlem. Boris has
been collecting contemporary art for more than 20 years, with a concentration on BIPOC
artists. In addition, he is a long-tenured commercial real estate investment professional,
having completed more than $10 billion of property acquisitions, sales, and financial
transactions for both public and private companies. He holds a Bachelor of Business
Administration in Real Estate and Urban Land Economics from the University of
Wisconsin–Madison.
