Reuter + Gray Exhibit - "Atmospheres"

Artists Krista Reuter and Theresa Gray team up for a two day exhibition of their artwork during the Saugatuck/Douglas Fall Gallery stroll happening in downtown Douglas on Saturday, October 8 and Sunday October 9 from 12-5pm. This lovely show aptly titled ‘Atmospheres’ explores the intricacy and exuberance expressed in both their artwork.

Reuter is a local artist with her working studio and gallery located in downtown Douglas. Her work has a meditative approach with layers of hand cut and hand torn paper. The mixed media, multi-layered paper pieces offer a sculptural element; which has a unique effect that arouses curiosity in the viewer and encourages a closer look.

Theresa Gray is originally from west Michigan and currently resides in Taos, NM. She is excited about this event as it was 25 years ago during the Saugatuck/Douglas Gallery stroll that she first exhibited her artwork. Gray’s vast yet intimate landscapes expresses her observations of her surroundings. She enjoys transforming her insights into spacious field drawings that allows the the viewer to be directly placed within the field, offering them a glimpse into the beauty that surrounds us all.

These amazing and unique artworks will be sharing the walls during a TWO DAY collaborative exhibition at Krista Reuter Studio, located at 36 Center Street in downtown Douglas. Both artists will be in attendance; refreshments will be served and everyone is welcome. Don't miss this very special event which is free and open to the public.
