Saugatuck Art Traders Meet and Greet

Date:
8/19/2022
Time:
4pm-6pm
Location:
129 Griffith Street Unit 106 Saugatuck, MI
Description:

Saugauck Art Traders will welcome artist Paul Pedulla to the gallery on Friday, August 19th and Saturday, August 20th for a "meet and greet." Paul is known for his minimal paintings and prints that depict landscape and architecture. According to Paul, "My paintings begin with simple ideas about space and place... the idea may be a real place I can see at that moment or something that exists in my mind, such as a memory."

Gallery owner Bob Hartmann says that one of his favorite works by Paul is of the red & white lighthouse located near the old red dock in Douglas. "I commissioned Paul to paint that specific building because it is a welcoming landmark as you come into town from the south." The original acrylic painting titled “Saugatuck Light" sold quickly to a Michigan collector, however, framed and hand-signed limited-edition prints of the work are still available.

Paul's work has been singled out by art professionals, educators and interior designers from Seattle to New England, and can be found in collectors' homes and businesses from California to Germany. Original acrylic paintings and limited-edition prints will be on display and available for purchase.

All are welcome to a reception with the artist Friday, August 19th, 4 to 6 pm, and Saturday, August 20th, 4 to 7 pm. The gallery is located at 129 Griffith Street, Unit 106 - just down the alley and adjacent to the Saugatuck public parking lot. Works can be previewed Thursday through Saturday from 12 to 6 pm starting August 11th.
