Performance of Midsummer Madness by Pigeon Creek Shakespeare Company.
One of Shakespeare’s most beloved plays, A Midsummer Night’s Dream is full of comedic confusions, mischievous fairies, and an amateur acting troupe whose lack of skill only makes them funnier. This program of scenes from the play follows four young Athenians who get lost in the woods. A mischievous fairy named Puck causes havoc when he puts a spell on the lovers, causing love rivalries to explode into an epic battle. Meanwhile, the Rude Mechanicals, a group of Athenian craftsman, attempt to put on a play with hilarious results. Our actors will make sure you know all of the characters and can follow right along in this sampler of Shakespeare’s beloved comedy.
