The Adult Beverage Connoisseur

Beer, wine, cider and spirits lovers flock to Saugatuck/Douglas for our selection of alcoholic beverages! Create your own six-pack with a selection of beers from our local breweries; Saugatuck Brewing Company, Waypost Brewing Company, The Mitten, and don’t forget hard cider from Virtue Cider! Thinking of spirits? Taste-test Coppercraft’s bourbon before taking a bottle home in their downtown Saugatuck tasting room. Popular wines from Fenn Valley Winery in Fennville are always a hit, and if you’re looking for other wines,  J. Petter Galleries or Wine Sellers of Saugatuck, have excellent selections as well.

The Fashionista

Amazing clothing and jewelry selections abound in the Art Coast of Michigan. Saugatuck/Douglas is known for having an incredible community of of artists, so it’s no surprise that hand-made jewelry and unique, beautiful clothing is everywhere! For jewelry, Koorey Creations is a local shop in Saugatuck that sells hand made jewelry like these rings. For clothing, Articles Boutique in Douglas is a new addition to town and has trendy (adorable) clothes for women and girls. Glik’s in downtown Saugatuck has clothing for everyone, and just down the street is Landsharks, with outdoor-centric gear for men and women!

 

The Chef

For the person on your list who loves to cook, get them something they can cook with! Delicious jams from American Spoon make excellent stocking stuffers, and also go well with toast or pancakes on Christmas morning! The Farmhouse Deli has an excellent selection of homemade pastas, jams, jellies, spreads, specialty olive oils, smoked meats and more that would be the perfect gift for those who love to cook, and it never hurts to take snack with you to go!

The Obsessive Decorator

For someone who is really into making their home cozy, there’s nothing more delightful than finding an eye-catching decorative piece that is also functional. This mini vintage radio from Kindel & Company in downtown Saugatuck is a perfect decorative piece for the mantle, but what takes it to the next level is that it actually works! It can be hooked up to the bluetooth on your iPhone and play music directly from there. Kindel & Company also has a second pop-up shop on Butler street that has all things Christmas!

The Great Outdoors Lover

When someone loves spending time in the great outdoors, there are a few brands that are must-haves. One of those brands is Yeti. These yeti mugs, tumblers and thermos’ work perfectly for all sorts of camping excursions and outdoor adventures, as they keep whatever is inside them cold or hot for hours. These can be found at Landsharks in downtown Saugatuck! While you’re there, ask about fun outdoor activities like skiing and snowshoeing in Saugatuck/Douglas!

The Kiddos

What kid doesn’t want a soft and cuddly (not to mention adorable) stuffed animal waiting for them on Christmas morning? These can be found at Saugatuck Drug Store in downtown Saugatuck, among other adorable kids gifts!

The Coffee Obsessed

Uncommon Coffee Roasters in downtown Saugatuck has come out with adorable gift boxes and mugs just in time for the holidays! Respite Cappuccino Court in Downtown Douglas is another local coffee favorite, and has gift cards available, as well as mugs! These make perfect gifts for the coffee lover in your life!

The Art Collector

Saugatuck/Douglas isn’t called the Art Coast of Michigan for nothing – with more than 28 art galleries throughout the region, Saugatuck/Douglas is a haven for artists to live and work, and attracts artists from all over the country. What better place to shop for artwork? Many galleries like Button Gallery and Water Street Gallery in downtown Douglas run sales and specials for the holiday season – now is the time to buy!
