Local Artwork for a Cause

The Saugatuck Douglas Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (SDACVB) is excited to announce their partnership with local artist and philanthropist Ted Swoboda and his organization, Pictures for Vets for a special photography exhibit at the SDACVB Welcome Center from Oct. 22 – Dec. 3.

“With Veterans day this month, there is no better time for this show to help raise funds for this noble cause,” said SDACVB Executive Director Josh Albrecht. “We encourage everyone to visit the welcome center during the month of November to see these wonderful landscape photographs to further the appreciation for our beautiful Art Coast of Michigan.”

The Saugatuck Douglas CVB is showing 15 of Swoboda’s original photographs.

  • The show will last from October 22 through December 3
  • All artworks are for sale
  • Proceeds of the sale are donated to Pictures for Vets

“I am passionate in my efforts to contribute to the aid of our veterans in my simple way,” said Swoboda.

Pictures for Vets is a 501©3 nonprofit organization created by Ted Swoboda which exists to help decorate and beautify the spaces that veteran heroes now live and work in. Viewers and prospective buyers of Ted’s work can come view this work at the Saugatuck/Douglas Welcome Center located at 95 Blue Star Hwy Douglas, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
