This piece was purchased by two Douglas prominent men, Ed Strange and Ed Sisk. Investing in the revitalization of the downtown, they purchased the building on the Center St and Union St. began Edwards Limited, a design center. The landmark, Douglas Clock, was owned by these two men. Due to their foresight, Douglas saw over a 50% increase in businesses.
Their passion for purchasing art and antiques took them to many parts of the country and Europe.
This particular piece was purchased from Red Baron Antiques in 1990 and installed in their garden. When Ed Strange passed away, Ed Sisk gave the sculpture to the City of Douglas in memory of his dearly beloved partner.
