Erin Mullis will discuss the process of building a cohesive art practice which includes developing themes, color language, and style, staying connected to the “why” and give examples from her practice. She will share inspirations in nature and from other artists and the importance of experimentation. Her presentation will include a hands-on activity called the Composition Game to illustrate balance, exploring the use of negative space, complementary colors, contrast, harmony and their
impact on emotion.
