Opening Artist Reception for Mateo Leon

Originally from Mexico, Mateo studied art at different art schools in Mexico, California, Ohio, and Texas. He leans towards abstract painting, primarily using oil and acrylic. Occasionally, he will make smaller work with charcoal. Lately he has started experimenting in wood and metal sculpting. His work covers a variety of styles and palettes. He has resided in the Holland/Saugatuck area for the last five years and has been a represented artist at Capizzo for three years.
