Code of Conduct
The Art Coast® Food & Wine Festival is committed to providing a welcoming, professional, inclusive and harassment-free experience where all attendees, who must be a minimum of 21 years old, are treated with dignity and respect. This Event Code of Conduct establishes minimum expectations of conduct for all participants, and we will enforce it in our sole discretion throughout the event.
This Event Code of Conduct applies to all participants, including staff, attendees, speakers, sponsors, vendors, exhibitors, and volunteers, and all participants are required to agree to and abide by this Event Code of Conduct. We expect cooperation from all participants to help ensure a professional, respectful, welcoming, and safe environment for all participants.
We do not tolerate harassment of event participants in any form be it physical, emotional or verbal. Harassment may include intimidation, exclusion, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of seminars or other events, inappropriate physical contact, unwelcome sexual attention, and offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, and/or technology choices or using demeaning or derogatory language of any kind.
If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please notify a member of the event staff immediately. During operating hours, event staff will be at the entry vestibule, and uniformed staff will be throughout the pavilion.
The Event Code of Conduct identifies the following as unacceptable behaviors at all event venues:
- Possessing any open can, bottle or other receptacle containing any alcoholic beverages, except in areas specifically designated for the consumption of alcohol or being intoxicated, as determined by the Festival staff, in any area. Please drink responsibly.
- Possession of a weapon or any item that can be used as a weapon, which may be used to threaten or cause injury to others if used in a certain manner.
- Possessing any illegal substance, including but not limited to narcotics, or other illegal drugs. The Festival does not tolerate the use or abuse of illegal substances anywhere in the event venues.
- Leaving event sites or designated areas specifically designated for consumption of alcohol, with open cans, bottles, or other receptacles containing alcoholic beverages.
This Event Code of Conduct is not intended to be all inclusive and there may be conduct that it does not specifically address. If approached by event staff, participants are asked to follow the staff directions to ensure the well-being and safety of all participants.
Art Coast® Food & Wine Festival staff and organizers may take whatever actions they deem appropriate for failure to comply with the Event Code of Conduct, including, for example, expulsion from the event without refund, notification of inappropriate behavior to sponsor/exhibitor’s employer, and disqualification from attending future events.
All policies are subject to change in Art Coast® Food & Wine Festival’s sole discretion. Thank you for keeping the Art Coast® Food & Wine Festival welcoming and safe for all.
