The Beechwood Manor Inn is a charming Saugatuck bed and breakfast tucked away in a quiet neighborhood just a brief walk to the center of all activities. This Saugatuck bed & breakfast inn is the former home of Warren P. Sutton who served 15 years in the diplomatic service under five U.S. Presidents. He is most known for improving relations between the U.S. and Mexico The comfort of guests is a high priority here and the warmth of welcome that visitors receive is matched by the attention to detail throughout one's stay. Upon arrival a driveway leads from the inn's white picket fence toward the path to the inn's front door. The home enjoys a gracious wrap-around veranda on which guests savor the pure Michigan pleasures of reading, rocking and just plain relaxing. The inn is decorated in an attractive and welcoming cottage style accented with fine antiques. Polished wooden floors characterize the romantic bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas throughout the B & B. The bedrooms are decorated with lovely fabrics and are furnished to a high standard. Every room has a fireplace which adds immeasurably to the overall spirit of warmth. A vintage cast-iron stove accentuates the charm of the kitchen where a hearty start to the day is assured. Breakfasts here are memorable and served with flair. This is a Michigan Bed and Breakfast where guests are required to do nothing except listen to the chickadees, take a nap on an antique bed or sip wine while lounging in a terry bathrobe provided by the management. Beechwood Manor Inn is the only bed and breakfast in Saugatuck that is listed on the State and National Historic Registers. It has also been featured in Life Magazine and The New York Times. Amenities include private baths, cable TV, CD's, DVD's, fireplaces and breakfast between 8:30 and 10:00 a.m. daily.
