Saugatuck Second Line – A Mardi Gras Pub Crawl

The Saugatuck Second Line is an annual brass band parade & Mardi Gras Pub Crawl through downtown Saugatuck’s favorite pubs and watering holes. It celebrates cultural traditions of New Orleans through our Midwestern lens. You’re invited to join in the experience, walking or dancing in the “second line” following the band, sharing smiles and laughs as we look forward to the seasons ahead. Dress for the occasion, twirl parasols and wave handkerchiefs, or come as you are.

In 2025 we’re once again bringing the band inside each parade stop, and collecting orders for pre-sold party kits, advance dinner tickets and some other fun new twists to our route and stops. It all begins at Wally’s and ends up at The Southerner with a New Orleans inspired feast.

Saugatuck Second Line is envisioned as a tradition that continues to bring people together, honor American culture, and contribute to our vibrant community.
