Fresh Fish Fundamentals: Perfect Roasted Salmon is taught on September 19th from 10AM to 1PM by Chris Ferris and costs $80.
Chris Ferris, Head Chef and owner of local hot spot the Farmhouse Deli, will teach you how to make one of her favorite meals: roast salmon with coconut spinach on ruby quinoa, followed by a coconut-meyer lemon tart. Students will learn how and where to find fresh fish, how to roast fish perfectly for your taste and how to substitute whole grains for healthier recipes. The resulting meal will be gluten free and dairy free, but... you would never know it!
Art on the Meadow is a unique program, providing an intergenerational space for students to come together in the inspiring natural environment at Ox-Bow for half day, one day, or short term multi-day classes. Our workshops are geared toward teen and adult makers of all experience levels, age 13 and up. Art on the Meadow workshops offer participants an opportunity to connect traditional art and craft processes with contemporary ideas and approaches to artmaking. We strive for our workshops to be imaginatively challenging and logistically accessible for our West Michigan neighbors. Come jump into Ox-Bow’s creative community (and maybe even into our beautiful lagoon)!
